Our History
​We are an old pomelo orchard located in Sai Ma, Nonthaburi, which has been passed down through many generations of families. We have transformed part of this orchard into a local Southern-Thai restaurant, with a small café and a space for seminars, events, and weddings. Above all else, it is a green space with a relaxing, refreshing, and cosy atmosphere - like visiting a countryside home, a lifelong dream retreat of ours!
The name ‘O La Keng’ is a playful combination of the Thai words for "pomelo" (som-o) and Keng, the traditional bamboo basket once used to pack and ship pomelos. This name bridges the memories of old orchard homes where grandparents, uncles, aunts, relatives, and friends would gather to cook, share meals, tell stories, laugh, and bond in warm friendship.​
Our Dream
Today, people’s ways of life have changed. Everyone has their own responsibilities and is chasing different dreams, often drifting apart. The kindness and connections that once existed have gradually faded, leaving only memories of the past.
We, under the name O La Keng Farm, dream of preserving this old pomelo orchard in the heart of Nonthaburi city, honoring the legacy of our ancestors. We aim to reconnect smiles, friendship, and cherished memories of the past with today’s simple, friendship-centered way of life. We believe that good friendships, strong families, and close-knit communities create a better society.
Our Farm
O La Keng Farm is not just a regular restaurant. It feels like inviting friends to dine at a countryside home - a place to rest your heart when weary. The serene, shaded, and cozy atmosphere blends traditional architecture of wood and bamboo with modern local touches. The food is traditional Southern Thai home cooking, both classic and adapted recipes, using fresh ingredients from our own orchard and neighboring community gardens. We focus on health consciousness and environmental care.
We thank our design team from Baan Rai Studio, our construction team, marketing team, Chef Mae Nok, and all managers and staff of O La Keng Farm, who helped bring this vision to life. We are also grateful for the ongoing encouragement from our dear friends and supporters who have stood by us.​
